4) "We've got a lot of rebuilding to do ... The good news is — and it's hard for some to see it now — that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house — he's lost his entire house — there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch." I thought Hurricane Katrina was mindnumbing in and of itself. I live in the South. I am grateful that powerful storm did not come my way.

My view is that every politician, every newscaster, and each and every person who is stating what they consider to be fact about what happened in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina is mind-numbingly stupid.

Please don't think that there are just 25 quotes out there, I am sure the numbers will just keep piling up like the debris we see piled up through video newsclips on the television.

All we can do is be good samaritans and help our neighbors in the Gulf and pray that the ones who survived the devastation will be able to rebuild their lives.
