Incompetent Design

No self-respecting engineering student would make the kinds of dumb mistakes that are built into us.
All of our pelvises slope forward for convenient knuckle-dragging, like all the other great apes. And the only reason you stand erect is because of this incredible sharp bend at the base of your spine, which is either evolution's way of modifying something or else it's just a design that would flunk a first-year engineering student.

(seed magazine article)

As far as the devine beauty of the eye goes, I've needed glasses since birth.

Troy,
This is a delightful blog. Your voice comes through -- even if it isn't in the actual posts -- by virtue of the titles you give your posts and your choice of linking materials. The voice is a dry wit and successful in its efforts to mimic the Economist among others. And you are correct: the subject matter is wide-ranging.
Being an old timer, I enjoy your blog more than that of Warren Ellis. Your subject matter is of greater significance.
One question: how to suggest that the material you are posting is lifted from the articles to which you are linking? Quotation marks? A change of font? The only thing that distinguishes your additions from the text you copy and paste is that yours needs work on the spelling. That's not enough of a distinction. I'd think about a different color or different font to distinguish the excerpted material.
Keep it up ...
Michael
